Competitive ranks

Ranked game modes (like race matchmaking and ranked duels) give you a competitive rank. Winning gives RR (rank rating), losing takes it away.

The ranks

From low to high:

1. Unranked (until your first ranked games)
2. Iron I, II, III
3. Bronze I, II, III
4. Silver I, II, III
5. Gold I, II, III
6. Platinum I, II, III
7. Emerald I, II, III
8. Sapphire I, II, III
9. Champion

Every division is 100 RR. Champion starts after Sapphire III and has no upper limit. Each ranked mode has its own rank, so you can be Gold in races and Iron in duels.
